1. About these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of titlereel.com (TitleReel), including its website, dashboard, and API. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you act for an organisation, you must have authority to do so.

Questions about the service or these terms can be sent to our contact email below. The Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled; it is a notice, not a request for blanket consent.

2. Your account

Provide an accurate email address and keep your password, API keys, and connected-service credentials secure. You are responsible for activity you authorise on your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be at least 18 years old to open an account. Email verification, two-factor authentication, storage limits, and feature permissions may apply. Do not bypass account restrictions, rate limits, or security controls.

3. What the service does

TitleReel creates videos and images from submitted web links, uploaded images, and editable templates. Available tools may include multiple slides, custom designs, a public API, connected storage, notifications, automatic creation from an approved domain, and the AI-assisted Magic Room.

Extraction and generation depend on source availability, content, and account settings. Review every result before publishing: layouts, wording, and AI suggestions can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your intended use. No particular audience, engagement, or commercial result is promised.

4. Content and acceptable use

You retain the rights you already hold in content you submit. You give us permission to retrieve, copy, transform, store, and deliver it only as needed to provide and support the service. A publicly accessible URL does not by itself grant permission to reuse its contents.

You must have the necessary rights and permissions for your inputs and your use of the results, including images, logos, text, and personal data. Do not submit sensitive personal data unless you have confirmed with us that the service is suitable for that processing. AI output may not be unique or eligible for intellectual-property protection.

  • Do not use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or rights-infringing activity.
  • Do not access other accounts, scrape private information, submit malicious content, or disrupt the service.
  • Respect source-site restrictions and the terms of services you connect.
  • The software, branding, and service design remain the property of their respective owners; using TitleReel does not transfer those rights.

5. Credits, plans, and payments

Your account and checkout show the applicable allowances, prices, and limits. Generation may use purchased credits or a monthly free allowance. Costs can differ for images, videos, duration, and Magic Room actions. Free allowances reset monthly; unused free allowances do not carry over.

Payments are handled by the payment provider identified at checkout, currently Lemon Squeezy when enabled. We do not receive full payment-card details. A subscription, if offered and selected, has the billing period and renewal terms shown at checkout. Follow the provider’s subscription-management instructions or contact us for help cancelling.

The standard generation queue returns the charged credit amount or free slot when a render permanently fails. A generation-credit refund is different from a refund of a payment. Contact us about an incorrect charge or purchase refund; your mandatory cancellation, withdrawal, and refund rights under applicable consumer law are unaffected. We do not impose a blanket exclusion of those rights.

6. Connected services and sharing

If you connect Google Drive, S3, Slack, or an AI provider, you authorise the transfers needed for the feature you use. Connected providers apply their own terms and privacy rules. Disconnecting a service stops future use of that connection but does not remove files already delivered there.

Anyone with a public sharing or download link may be able to access that media until the link expires or the source becomes unavailable. Share links carefully. Removing an item from TitleReel does not retract copies already downloaded or published elsewhere.

7. Storage and availability

Keep your own copies of outputs you want to retain. Account storage limits and configured retention periods apply; where automatic media deletion is enabled, the app displays the retention period. Cached video files may be removed and rebuilt from a stored render source when available.

We aim to keep the service available, but maintenance, third-party failures, or technical issues may cause interruptions. The API status indicator is a recent availability signal, not a service-level guarantee. Features may evolve; material changes to paid services will be communicated as required by law.

8. Privacy and closing your account

Account → Privacy & data provides a personal-data export and a way to submit requests for access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability. Requests are tracked in Support and reviewed by the team. A deletion request is not immediate account deletion, subscription cancellation, or a payment refund.

We may need to verify your identity and consider legal retention duties and the rights of others before acting. You can also contact us by email, including if you cannot sign in. The Privacy Policy explains these rights and the response process.

9. Suspension and responsibility

We may restrict access when reasonably needed to address misuse, security risks, non-payment, or legal obligations. Where practicable and legally permitted, we will explain the reason and how to contact us about it.

You are responsible for reviewing and lawfully using your inputs and outputs. We do not guarantee error-free or uninterrupted service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.

10. Revisions and contact

Each tracked revision has a fixed version, effective date, and permanent link in Policy history. The /terms address always shows the current revision. Changes do not remove rights that have already arisen. We will provide additional notice or seek agreement where applicable law requires it.
